About Our Vineyard
-
We work to ensure the best combination of grape clusters to overall leaf area through a variety of vine training methods unique for each varietal. We constantly evaluate vine nutrient status and overall vine health year round and maintain a perennial cover crop in the winter. We use integrated pest management (IPM) techniques by combining biological, cultural and chemical tools. A pressure bomb is used to regulate deficit irrigation.
-
The coldness of winter and warmth of summer; the many varieties of compatible soil types; and the influence of fog following the Russian River into the valley create a ideal growing environment in our vineyard for our grapes. Our vineyards are located on the valley floor, halfway down the Dry Creek Valley

We have been part of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Program since 2006 and are committed to continuing our education about sustainability by reviewing our progress every year. We are a Sonoma County Certified Sustainable vineyard as well. Our goal is to maintain the longterm viability of our agricultural land, as we have been doing for over 160 years.
